Carolina Fonseca, dancer

Carolina Fonseca is one of the dancers who best understands and studies the dances of this nomadic people. Originating in the north of India, (Rajasthan), their dances have been transformed from their origins in Rajasthan (Kalbeliya/Kathak) travelling as far afield as Jerez (Flamenco).

Carolina Fonseca has performed and worked with this nomad people from India to Spain. She has trained in Kathak, a classical Indian dance form, with Manicha and gypsy dancers (Kalbeliya) of Rajasthan including the famous Divana.
