PIANIST ALENA KHMELINSKAIA
SUMMER CONCERTS (June to September, every second Friday)

Aged 17, Alena Khmelinskaia is attending the 8th grade of piano under the tutorship of Professor Oxana Anikeeva at the Algarve Maria Campina Regional Conservatory, Faro.
Having already picked up various international piano awards, in 2008, she won second prize at the 8th International Piano Competition at the Alexandre Scriabine Conservatory of Paris. In 2008, she performed a number of solo recitals both in the Algarve and in Lisbon, including at the Grémio Literário. In 2006, she took part in the 7th Les Rencontres de Jeunes Pianistes Piano Festival, in Namur, Belgium.
In 2003, she performed the Berkovich op.44 concert for piano and orchestra conducted by Maestro Ferreira Lobo with the Orquestra do Norte in Braga. In 2002, she appeared at the Belém Cultural Centre, Lisbon, on occasion of Europe Day. Over the years, she has not only given a whole range of concerts in both Spain and the Algarve but also participated in master-classes with Álvaro Teixeira Lobo, professor at the University of Aveiro and with Diane Andersen, president of EPTA Belgium.
