The versatile South Korean soprano, Yeree Suh, promises a highly eclectic program that takes us from Monteverdi and Vivaldi over to the first ever performances in Portugal of work by fellow national composer Jong Hee Kang, Looking for Immortals, Chinese poems and Unsuk Chin, Snags and Snarls, on Alice in Wonderland and touching bases with Mozart, Schumann, Donizetti, Puccini and Gounod along the way.
Yeree Suh is currently considered one of the finest talents among young emerging singers. Of unparalleled versatility, she has played roles in operas and spoken performances ranging from the Baroque through to contemporary music and under the guidance of maestros global in reputation such as René Jacobs, Philippe Herreweghe, Kent Nagano, Marek Janowsky, Tom Koopman, among others in addition to having toured leading centres of performance across Europe and Asia.
Yeree Suh is accompanied in this enticing recital by the young French pianist Arnaud Arbet who will also play Douze Notations for solo piano, by Pierre Boulez.
