When spring arrives, on a date set in accordance with meteorological patterns, the Japanese take to the streets, to the parks, temples and riversides to enjoy the trees blossoming - hanami. Under the cherry tress - sakuras – they socialise from early morning through to sunset in keeping with traditions stretching back many centuries.

Come and discover the enjoyable rituals of this date and come up with some highly original presents for your parents this Easter.

Who wouldn’t like to take over from Aladdin and in the company of Yasmine, fly out over the world? Making use of samples of some of the textiles on exhibition in the museum, we set about putting together a patchwork carpet that will carry us on our way to distant lands. Are you ready to adventure?
